How do we streamline the process from engineering designs to manufacturing? How do we manage the complexities of overlapping engineering change effectivities? How do we ensure that our products are manufactured and maintained to the right engineering specifications? How do we improve the quality and management of our supplier components?

In today’s environment, the performance of our Supplier Network is as important (or more) as our internal shop floor. The enterprise recipe for Sikorsky includes three major software building blocks: PLM, ERP, and MES. Sikorsky combines the best of commercial software and best practices to meet the requirements of building and maintaining military and commercial aircraft.

This presentation will focus on the areas of Manufacturing Process and Inspection Specification, Manufacturing Execution and Supplier Quality. We will discuss how new procedures have improved overall product quality, performance and cost. We will share usage metrics and experience with optimizing an environment for 24x7 high transaction volume.
