Tying Engineering, Suppliers and Operations into one Global Quality System

Recorded Webcast

Today’s manufacturing architectures must span an ever-increasing network of in-house and outsourced manufacturing assets that must act in concert. Our brand and company reputation may be at risk if we don’t effectively coordinate and oversee the growing complex partner and supplier network.

We cannot afford to leave quality management as an isolated afterthought anymore; it needs to be an integral part of the strategic enterprise management system.

AMR Research, iBASEt and CSC collaborate on this live event to discuss and share best practices and new initiatives from the Aerospace and Defense industry. The discussions and lessons learned will be applicable to any industry with similar complex products and supplier networks. We will discuss examples of how companies are facing these challenges today and some of the technologies and tools available to help us manage this global task.

The discussion will touch on the following topics:

* Managing risk in the supply chain with enhanced visibility and consistent metrics
* Automating oversight rules based on supplier performance
* Standardizing and expediting workflows for quick response
* Moving from fragmented operations and quality systems to an integrated enterprise approach
* Technical challenges of deploying solutions globally
* Integrating Engineering to Quality Management System for Suppliers and Operations
* Understanding the roles of different systems including PDM and MES in the Quality Management systems landscape
* Ensuring regulatory and intellectual-property protection in global systems including Aerospace and Defense specific ITAR, FAA, and AS9000 considerations
