A Fast 50 Winner for Four Straight Years; iBASEt's 5-year Revenue Growth is 6,932%
Lake Forest, Calif., September 21, 1998 -- iBASEt, a leading supplier of plant management information systems (PMIS), including shop floor paperless execution, has again been named to the Deloitte & Touche "Fast 50" program ranking second out of the fifty fastest-growing technology companies in Orange County and San Diego. In 1997, iBASEt was ranked first in this same category. Rankings are based on the percentage growth in revenues during the five-year period from 1993-1997. Phil Davis, President iBASEt, received the award at a presentation held on September 10, 1998 in Laguna, California.
Amrik Poonian, Chairman, CEO and President of iBASEt, comments on the company's growth, "Ranking among the fastest-growing companies in Southern California for four consecutive years is truly an honor and a testament to the innovation and commitment of my fellow employees.
"Also, our experience in this industry has shown us that there is pent-up demand for our products and services, especially our paperless, shop floor execution system, Solumina. Tier 1 aerospace companies in particular have realized the need for
our system's functionality, and have budgeted significant amounts for this type of technology. Because iBASEt has established customer references including Boeing, as well as a large user seat presence in this market segment, we expect to be the leading provider of PMIS solutions by yearend 1999."
"There are more than 22,000 high-technology companies in the United States, many of whom are competing in the same markets," said Fred Poska, partner, Orange County Technology Group, Deloitte & Touche. "Being named a Fast 50 winner is a testament to a company's leadership and its ability to not only have the right solution at the right moment, but also to have the vision that allows growth over five years.''
iBASEt, founded in 1986, is a leading provider of high-tech software solutions and services. iBASEt has pioneered the first image-based work instruction system in the complex assembly, FAB and manufacturing, repair and overhaul (MRO) markets today. By making the shop floor paperless, users report that Solumina, a plant management information system (PMIS), has significantly improved productivity, increased throughput, and provided cost savings in the millions of dollars per year.
