iBASEt™ Highlights MES Software at MESA Roundtable
Lake Forest, Calif., April 16, 1999 -- iBASEt, a leading supplier of paperless manufacturing execution systems (pMES), will highlight its Solumina™ solution at the MESA Roundtable in Newport Beach, Calif. April 19-21.  Solumina provides work instructions delivery, process planning, quality assurance and maintenance, repair and overhaul (MRO) capabilities to firms such as The Boeing Company that have created paperless factory environments, and as a result, realized significant cost savings.  Bill Koop, Director of Production Systems at Boeing, will present "Integrating MES throughout the Enterprise" on Wednesday at 8:45 am.  Additionally, a demo of iBASEt's Solumina will be conducted on Tuesday at 4:30pm.

"MESA International has reported that 1998 revenues for many of its members grew substantially, some exceeding 85% growth rates," said Phil Davis, COO and President of iBASEt.  "In spite of reduced ERP sales, Y2K and Asian economic disruptions, sales of MES solutions that increase quality, throughput and leverage resources, continue to steadily rise."

Davis continues, "In addition, on Wednesday Bill Koop will discuss the benefits derived by Boeing's C-17 project using iBASEt's pMES solution.  Using Solumina, Boeing has developed better quality and more affordable aircraft for their customers.  Our paperless solution makes it easier and faster for their workforce to get their jobs done.  Factory labor performance has increased 25% and throughput by 30% after the iBASEt implementation.  Also, internal estimates show Solumina saving more than $100 million over the life of the project."

Solumina is a complete manufacturing software suite for discrete, complex organizations including aerospace and defense, industrial equipment, and maintenance, repair and overhaul (MRO).  Applications include process planning, work instructions delivery, MRO, quality assurance, a CAD viewer, and a graphical dispatch manager.  Solumina provides a paperless environment for creating, delivering, revising and tracking work orders, multimedia instructions, work specifications and quality assurance and has been referred to as the "next industrial revolution."

iBASEt, founded in 1986 as TSI, is a leading provider of high-tech software solutions and services.  iBASEt has pioneered the first image-based work instructions system in the complex assembly, aerospace and maintenance, repair and overhaul (MRO) markets today.
