Lake Forest, CA, (January 14, 2000) - iBASEt has been named to Deloitte & Touche's prestigious "Fast 500" Program, a ranking of the 500 fastest growing U.S. technology companies. Rankings are based on five-year percentage revenue growth from 1994-1998.
Vic Sial, President of iBASEt, credits the company's growth to its creative employees and visionary founder, Amrik S. Poonian. "Amrik saw a market niche for paperless manufacturing solutions and developed Solumina, a paperless Manufacturing Execution System (pMES), for Boeing's C-17 site in Long Beach, CA. The company's goal was to lead the next industrial revolution by empowering shop floor personnel by providing them with the right information at the right time. The versatility and broad applicability of iBASEt's software solution is now being demonstrated by the growing ranks of iBASEt's customers, which include such industry leaders as Boeing and Motorola."
Mark Evans, Managing Director, Deloitte & Touche High Technology Industry Group stated "Today, there are more than 22,000 high technology companies in the United States, many of whom are competing for the same markets here in the states and worldwide. The Fast 500 winners have proven that they can compete successfully by consistently delivering technological wonders. We at Deloitte & Touche commend iBASEt for having the vision and determination to become one of the 500 fastest growing technology companies in the US."
iBASEt's increase in revenues of 2,001 percent over the five-year period of 1994 to 1998 resulted in a 141 ranking overall in the Technology Fast 500. To qualify for the Fast 500, companies must have had revenues of at least $50,000 in 1994; must be headquarted in the United States; and be technology companies.
