Product Training - Manufacturing

Course offerings include comprehensive training for all personnel. Training is typically conducted at iBASEt's training facility in Foothill Ranch, California. The minimum class size is 6; the maximum size is 12. If the number of students exceeds 12, another instructor will be required at an additional fee. We request that students have a similar knowledge base.

End User Training - Complete Application

Solumina® Manufacturing Hands-On Training - #T0210

This hands-on lab course covers the complete end-user suite: Systems Administration, Process Planning, Shopfloor Execution, and Quality Assurance/Discrepancy Dispositioning/ Corrective Action functions. It is designed for trainers, information technology staff, implementation team members, and application evaluators to give them a working knowledge of Solumina.

Prerequisite: Personal computer experience

Duration: 4 days

End User Training - Individual Classes

The following are individual classes focusing on each area of functionality. Each class has a brief overview of the entire suite to demonstrate the inter-relationship among functions. These classes are intended only for end users who do not require knowledge of the full suite.

Manufacturing Process Planning – #T0311

This hands-on lab course teaches students to author work instructions, quality assurance instructions and labor requirements into a work plan. Topics include embedding data collections and buyoffs, authoring and linking multimedia elements, referencing external documents, assigning effectivity and releasing orders to manufacturing.

Pre-requisite: Personal computer experience

Duration: 2 days

Manufacturing Shopfloor Execution for Technicians/Inspectors - #T0312

This hands-on lab course teaches shopfloor personnel to sign on to the application, access work orders, operations and instructions, complete data collections and buyoffs, initiate a discrepancy, identify and perform rework instructions.

Pre-requisite: Personal computer experience

Duration: 1/2 day

Who Should Attend: Shopfloor Operators, Foremen, QA Engineers, Shopfloor Inspectors

Manufacturing Shopfloor Execution for Supervisors – T0313

This hands-on lab course teaches shopfloor supervisors and engineers to assign crew, create splits and holds, initiate a work order alteration, cancel work orders, initiate discrepancies, and authorize liens.

Prerequisite: Personal computer experience; Manufacturing Shopfloor Execution for Technicians/Inspectors (T0312)

Duration: 1/2 day

Who Should Attend: Process Engineers, Shopfloor QA Engineers, Shopfloor QA Inspectors, Process and Quality Engineering managers

Manufacturing Quality Assurance, Discrepancy Disposition, Corrective Action – T0314

This hands-on lab course teaches quality personnel to identify and process a discrepancy/non-conformance in a work order operation. Topics include how to complete a discrepancy record, disposition the discrepancy, author disposition instructions, insert multimedia elements if appropriate, route discrepancy tasks for review and rework, and release rework instructions to the shop floor. The Corrective Action (CA) process includes how to initiate a CA request, create and link corrective actions, action items, implementation and effectiveness verifications and graphically track the CA process.

Train the Trainer – T0211

Train the Trainer classes are available for Manufacturing, MRO and Supplier Quality after finishing one of the complete classes. This course discusses the optimum structure of instructional material to present Solumina functionality, including flow, timing and exercises. It provides conceptual explanations in more detail.

Prerequisite: One of the complete Solumina End User Classes

Duration: 1 day
