During its fifth annual Innovation Awards ceremony on May 14, 1998, the American Electronics Association recognized iBASEt (formerly Telecom Solutions) for its
revolutionary innovative shop floor software solution, Solumina.
The awards program was conceived five years ago to highlight trailblazing products being
produced by firms in Orange County. The Innovation Awards program was established to honor the actual innovators, technologists, program designers and engineers within firms who are developing the technology.
Amrik Poonian, CEO of iBASEt reported, "This year's winners represented an excellent, cross section of the high-tech companies in Orange County and we are very proud of our
team. Todd Roark, Conrad Leiva, Tim Henigman, Carl Hungerford, Pete Royston and Rick Laird have been instrumental in developing our state-of-the-Solumina™ software."
This year's event was sponsored by Arter & Hayden, Deloitte & Touche LLP, Merrill Corporation, Hambrecht & Quist LLC, Sedgwick and Silicon Valley Bank, and the award
ceremony was conducted at Western Digital Corporation's headquarters.
